According to the General Department of Customs, in January 2024, Vietnam's total export turnover of goods reached 34.53 billion USD, the highest level since August 2022 and increased by 46% over the same period last year (compared to the same period last year). Current turnover increased by 10.89 billion USD).
Date 11/12/2015, WCO Secretary General, Kunio Mikuriya, published in 2016 will be the year to promote digitization of customs procedures with the slogan "Digital Customs: Development Assistance". WCO members will have the opportunity to introduce and further promote the use of information and communication (ICT).
Since 1995, along with Vietnam became an official member of ASEAN, Vietnam Customs has participated actively, proactively and have made important contributions in the field of customs cooperation and the cooperation areas other economic customs related to ASEAN.
